        The article says he wrote the Scratchi pieces beginning in 1947 
but they began much earlier.  I think 1947 is the date "Radio" magazine 
became "CQ".  Even the cut drawing of "Scratchi" is the same.  Floyd 
would have been in his early twenties when Scratchi began.  I think I 
have some war-time issues of "Radio", I will see if I can find them and 
if "Scratchi" was discontinued during our war with Japan.
