[Boatanchors] eBay scam?

My single experience using the GSP was not positive. I had
offered UPS or USPS alternatives. When I came to ship to
the Kentucky intermediate location, the cost via UPS was
much higher than the invoiced (and paid) amount. I don't
know whether eBay's FedEx discount accounts for this
difference. Since you cannot invoice the buyer there is no
simple way to correct this.
In the end I ended up net negative on the transaction,
although this is mostly due to the shipping cost being 6
times the amount that the item sold for!
I used to ship overseas but customs, etc, is a pain. It is
possible that GSP is a usable option. Next time I will quote
a fixed price for shipping and fix any difference with a refund.
