Mark,
I believe that cap is defined as PPR --- Polypropylene. Polypropylene has a lower ESR will handle more current than any of the other capacitors. Just radios sells them at 1600 volts.

Subject: [Boatanchors] Collins 516F2 Power Supply Capacitor
I was contacted by a friend that is recapping his 516F2 power supply.
In the schematic, part C1 is shown to be an electrolytic, yet the parts
list shows it to be a non-electrolytic:
Collins part number CP29A1EG503K
Capacitor, FXD, PPR DIEL, 0.05 uF, 10% 1000V
The other caps in the HV string, C2 through C4, are clearly stated to be
electrolytic in the parts list.
Is C1 really an electrolytic?
Thanks
