I believe that Just Radios (www.justradios.com) sells the 1600V poly caps.

No!  The capacitor is non-polarized.  The original capacitor is a 0.05 mfd 1000-volt paper capacitor.  A good replacement is a 0.047 mfd 1600-volt "poly" type. Glen, K9STH

I was contacted by a friend that is recapping his 516F2 power supply.

In the schematic, part C1 is shown to be an electrolytic, yet the parts
list shows it to be a non-electrolytic:

Collins part number CP29A1EG503K

Capacitor, FXD, PPR DIEL, 0.05 uF, 10% 1000V

The other caps in the HV string, C2 through C4, are clearly stated to be
electrolytic in the parts list.

Is C1 really an electrolytic?
