One more text that is good to have:

Radio-Electronic Transmission Fundamentals by B. Whitfield Griffith,
Jr.  Griffith was Principal Engineer at Continental Electronics.  I
believe it was used as a college engineering textbook.  It is an AM
operators dream book since a lot of it is devoted to medium wave and
HF transmission -- rigs and antennas but with broadcasting in mind.
