David,

The poly film caps are highly inductive at RF and aren't suitable.

I have used surplus Russian RF caps (many look more like a hockey puck than a doorknob)for several projects.  The quality seems to be very good.  There are several ebay sellers that usually have them and I believe one or more of them ship from the U.S.
