Agreed - both have purpose and utility.

There are numerous specialized Boatanchor groups on Facebook, that are serving a great 
purpose for those of us who enjoy them. I enjoy watching the cool suff on the homebrew 
groups, and we have a very active Facebook "Novice Rig Roundup" Group that is far more 
popular than the mailing list. I think it is the instant "show and tell" aspecyt of FB that appeals 
to larger numbers of people. I realize FB is not everyone's cup of tea, but it is what it is.
