FWIW - a couple of useful things I have found for foldout pages in pdf -
1) put the file on a thumb drive and you can print the foldouts at full
size (or larger) at FedEx - they charge by the square foot. My local FedEx
locations now have a printer+scanner that'll handle 24" wide by any length.
I've scanned and printed some very large blueprints lately.
2) you can print a single page foldout pdf onto multiple 8.5x11 pages using
the "Poster" option when printing from Acrobat - that allows you to set an
overlap so you can then tape them all together.
