[Boatanchors] AM linear question

The 30L-1 does have a fan.  However, the linear should not be run at more than 150-watts carrier output.  As such, unless the exciter is something like a DX-40 or DX-60, not worth the added electricity cost! Glen, K9STH Website: http://k9sth.net

that one has four 811As right?  You'd probably have to run them at
around 100 w. carrier output especially if the 811As are convection
cooled.  I'd get a DX100 or Viking 1 instead.  The S-Line was not
designed for AM.

Not trying to be a smart ass, but the 30L1 in my opinion does not get
you very far as an AM RF amplifier.
