[Boatanchors] Question from an admitted 'Newbie'

I am reluctant to call anything from Drake a boatanchor, except the linears.
Wasn't here a few years ago that someone suggested a new category: "canoe anchors" for the smaller, lighter but still out-of-date tube gear?
