[Boatanchors] Cleaning wafer switch contacts

If the switch is actually dirty (e.g. heavy grime accumulation from being stored in a barn or something, then it’s safe to spray it with a NON-OIL BASED electronic cleaner, such as MG Super Wash or equivalent.  These cleaners evaporate quickly and do not leave an oily residue.  Don’t use something billed as a cleaner/lubricant.

Then apply DeOxit D5 (or D100) SPARINGLY to each contact with a q-tip or small brush, or use a DeOxit pen..  Don’t use DeOxit spray on the wafer.  Phenolic wafers will absorb the petroleum base and can swell, which in some cases can cause extra problems.  After application, rotate the switch a few times.
