Brady wiremarkers are recognized as likely the best in the industry and
survive decades in industrial environments
No affiliation with the company but over 25 years experience has shown their
markers to be survivors
For small shops a nice tool is the Brady ID Pro. Outrageously overpriced
new but frequently available for a few dollars used on ebay. It utilizes
roll feed markers in any format you could want, enter the data on the keypad
and the built in dmp prints the marker. Perfect tool for one or many
labels. I have two in my shop. The weak points are if they aren't used the
ribbon dries out and needs re freshed and the rechargeable battery is poor.
A drop of stamp ad ink fixes the first and running on external supply fixes
the other.
Look for the ID Pro PLUS if shopping for one. Better machine than the
original
Just a satisfied customer

I got three copies of this one only. Every label that I ever tried
(many) designed for paper have dried out and the adhesive deteriorated
and the labels fell off the wire after a few year unless they were
over-wrapped with a clear tape.
At work I successfully used "Brady wire marker machine" labels in a
"dot matrix" printer to label cabling at work before I retired, they
were half coated with white and half clear that wrapped over the printed
area preventing smudging. I wrote a program in BASIC where I entered
the two lines and when the second CR was found it advanced to the
beginning of the next printable area. Worked great for years.
