[Boatanchors] Clock Knob and Long Shaft

I can't speak for all the Hammarlund receivers but this HQ-145 has a long
shaft from the back of the clock to outside the case. There is no entry
point into the case so the shaft is the only way to access the clock. I
didn't look at my HQ-170s but I will take your word for it.

Thanks for your response.

All those other models may well have had "the long shaft".

The HQ-170 absolutely did not.

The 170 only had the very bottom of the cabinet open to the chassis.

The remainder of the 170s case was thick cast like material, and there were
no provisions for anything to get in unless it was through that bottom
opening.

YMMV
