  Dave,

I can't think of any way to do this, or any reason to do so. I suppose
one could jam enough on-frequency signal into the VFO input to make
something come out the antenna socket, but it's not designed to do
that, and what would be the point in trying to drive a 6AG7 power
amplifier that uses plug-in coils? Some VFOs will put out as much
power! The 10A is a heterodyne type exciter that's intended for use
with an external VFO which is offset from the desired frequency by plus
or minus 9 Mhz.

I will add that if the question stems from the 9.0 Mhz crystal being
missing, there's nothing sacred about that value, and any crystal in
that range will work, just alter the VFO frequency to compensate. 9
Mhz crystals have also become available on eBay for cheap.
