You to can buy one ..  but wait there's more ... Only $9.95  and in a very
small font plus S+H ...

To a lot of people making a bit of "hidden" profit on each sale is much
more important the keeping a good customer who will come back.

Today it is even worse, there are not entries on an MBA's spread sheet
called "customer satisfaction" on a column on the bottom right that
says profit.

I've bought via the E over 1,000 items 75% Test & Measurement, %10 Manuals
and Magazines.

The worst are those that sell a manual for $25 and then want $12.50 to ship
it. In all cases except maybe 5 ? .. the answer back has been
that is what it is and unspoken take it or leave it. In most cases I 'leave
it'. A couple times I've written the CEO/President of a BIG manual
seller, never gotten a reply, nor expected one.

Manuals can be shipped USPS Book rate, or even First Class for less the
$12.50.

Back to you knobs. Pretty much the same. The seller could care less if you
buy them or not, and by the end of the year they can throw them out
and write them off .. see .. they saved money at the end of the quarter,
 give that accountant a raise !!!!

So the little mom and pop see's this and says to them selves I too can
'make money' this way ... but for some reason they just can't figure out
why no one want to buy what they have for sale ..
