Hi Glen,
Tnx for the offer. The 90651 manuals, so far, have been the same as found on BAMA.
I am beginning to think that the pot may have been added by a user. I will ck
out the pot wiring later. Thanks for your help...73 Bill K4JYS

The original 90651 grid dip meter doesn't have a sensitivity control.  The manual for this GDO can be found at:

https://www.google.com/#q=millen+90651+grid-dip+meter+manual

The 90651A does have a sensitivity control and uses a 2N406 transistor.

I cannot find, on the Internet, a manual for the 90651A.  However, I do have an original manual and can scan the schematic and E-Mail it if requested.  Frankly, the schematic in the manual is pretty crudely drawn when compared to the schematics in most original manuals.

Hi Ray,
The model nr. is 90651, as mentioned in the subj. line...hi.
This GDO has the fil. and plate switches, sensi. pot and a sel. rectifier.
Don't see any transistors. There is a parts list in the BAMA info.

Bill,
You didn't mention the model number of your Millen GDO.

The 90651 schematic does not show the pot you mention.  The 90651-a-5 and
90662-a each have a 15K pot labeled as a sensitivity adjustment.  The pot
drives the base into the SS meter amplifier.  the transistor could be bad.

I do not have any other suggestion as to your problem.  I have a fairly poor
schematic of both models.  They may scan good enough to help you.  I am not
aware of any parts lists being supplied with them.

What model do you have?

Hi all and a Happy New Year,
I tried to use my Millen GDO a few days ago and the meter slams hard to the
left. The 9002 cks w/o any shorts, but is abt half the reading it should be
on a Hickok tube tester...don't have a spare to try. This GDO has a pot on
the left side with a nice chrome knob. It varies the meter reading. The pot
does not show up on the BAMA schematic & looks to be factory installed.
The s/n is 265.

First, any ideas what the pblm might be and secondly, would anyone have a
schematic & parts list of this model that shows the pot and could send me a
scan.

Tnx, 73 de Bill K4JYS
