[Boatanchors] A short Vent

All,

Your comments are "spot on" !!!  (no pun intended)..  I have had folks call me on the HF bands and tell me that I'm not exactly on 7165 or 14 183 or whatever frequency they thought I should be closest to.  When I replied by explaining that I just happened to select what I felt was a "clear" frequency, and oh by the way, it just happens to be 7165.4 or whatever, they said well why aren't you on 7165.0 ????  All of a sudden, folks think that HF SSB  is channelized !!!!!  As someone pointed out, no one on CW seems to be afflicted by this disease of "on frequency" !

As someone else said, our Johnson Rangers do just fine for AM work.
