[Boatanchors] Power supply ripple on my Heath Warrior HA-10 amplifier design changes (was "Please review & comment...")

Fed full AC (120V) and RF drive to my HA-10 Warrior today and all seems OK, mostly...

Driving it with 80 watts I get 500 watts out which is OK (my 30L-1 and even my Ameritron AL-811H do better but not a whole lot better...).

Looking at the HV with a scope and a 12-KV scope probe, I see about 80 volts peak-to-peak of AC ripple (about 5 percent) on the HV line when driving it to 500 watts output.

I haven't tried measuring the HV with a scope probe with any other amp so I have no frame of reference, but is 80V P-P acceptable, or is it too much?

I notice that the output waveform on the Kenwood SM-220 monitor scope looks slightly distorted.
