[Boatanchors] Oscilloscope Recommendations

GA all, 
I have made it for 55+ years w/o a scope on the bench. I don't do anything 
with SS circuits...just tube. However, recently I have run across a couple of 
problems with BA xmtrs that I think a scope might help in troubleshooting. Also, 
I could probably use one in rcvr work. Anyway, I am looking for any 
recommendations you guys might have for a not-too-large scope for some 
bench work. Info on brands, specs, probes, reliability, etc would be 
greatly appreciated. Ebay is full of 'em so that adds to my confusion plus there 
are a lot of new 'brands' I'm not familiar with...and the prices are all over the place.
