[Boatanchors] Resistor Size

A curious look at a data sheet for a typical 2W metal film resistor from 
Vishay shows a 9mm length and 4mm diameter.  A 1/4 w carbon composition 
resistor from Vishay is around 7mm long by 4 mm diameter.

I'd check against the part number and data sheet to be sure, but suspect 
the technology allows for higher dissipation in a smaller size.
