Keith: There was a technique that transmitted one sideband, carrier, and
only low frequencies in the other sideband. It was called Power Side
Modulation and it maintained fidelity when using envelope detectors. Its
pretty much the same technique used in analog TV transmitters -- Vestigial
Sideband, Kept video within the 6 MHz channel while significantly reducing
bandwidth and power somewhat. --Mike, WV2ZOW
