I agree, but then again, you were dealing with the Cowans and you weren't
the only one that probably got screwed for articles not paid.
When Lafayette Radio went under the court protection of Chapter 11 the
first time, they owed me close to $1K for doing service work of their
customer products. Never saw a penny of it, until 5 years later when I
got 10 cents on the dollar as payment.

But that was a expense deduction. Cost is not a concern when you can roll
it into "cost of doing business".

authors! During the fall of 1971, I represented CQ at a hamvention in
Boston. Dick Cowan was there. He took me out to dinner and spent well
over $300 at a particular restaurant and there was no alcohol involved!
