AR-88 price hints - FWIW, the US Navy RDM triple diversity system (RCA
DR-89) comprised 3 ea. AR-88's in a rack with several other items (tone
keyer, monitoring unit, patch panel, speaker) and cost the Navy $4500 with
spares.

The US Navy REK receiving/reproducing system (a PA entertainment system for
hospital use) included 2 ea. AR-88's, two turntables, misc. amps,
mikes, etc. in 2 racks and cost $2372 with spares.

As far as heavy receivers go, I think my 3121 lb National AN/FRR-24 might
be a contender.....$60,260 ea.
