You are right Bob and there is no reason right now to panic.  Just be aware 
they do this type of thing and use any RF device as if someone is listening, 
because they are.  I don't use my credit card on the cell phone or even the 
wireless phone I have in the house.  In other words take the same 
precautions you would for identity thieves and just use common sense about 
the tools at our disposal.

One reason for P.O.T.S. and my wired phone that does not require 120 volts 
is that if the power is out, I have communications as long as the phone 
company batteries hold.
