Consider a solenoid valve:
You put in power (Volts x Amps)
You modulate the power flow (mass x velocity)
Power Gain.
Something like a gate valve has very high gain, because you only input
(torque x angular rotation) while the setting is being changed. The output
changes forever unless the input is changed further.
