    The Lankford mod for the Collins 51J series will work in 
the SP-600   The PD is pretty good but the AVC leaves a lot 
to be desired. There were outboard SSB converters that work 
well but they are hard to find and expensive.  Both 
Hammarlund and TMC made them.
