Here in NJ today, 10 meters has been active all evening in the SSB
section. Even 6 meters is open. Just worked several stations using the 75
meter inverted vee antenna.
I prefer one on one QSO's. Roundtables tend to be slow movers, difficult
to have a conversation with a mass of people, some of which you probably
can't hear so you wind up listening to noise off and on. Depending on the
number of people, maybe you get to transmit once every 20 to 30 minutes.
Definitely find it boring and generally doze off waiting for my turn.
For those interested in nets and boatanchors, the Collins coast-to-coast
AM net has been going on since around 7 or 7:30 EDT on 3885. I get my
best naps listening to this net.
