Ronnie,
I built and use quite a bit, a Frank Jones p-p 6A6. It only runs
maybe 10-15 watts or so input, but is the basis of several higher
power xmtrs (some of which use a pair of '10s). Very stable osc and easy on xtals. If you can get a hold of a 1935/36 Jones handbook (orig and reprints
can be found on eBay occasionally), you will see several examples. Also, look for 1935 issues of "Radio" magazine...great for 1930's xmtrs and rcvrs. I use a one tube regen also from the Jones book/mag...works great and makes a nice
mid thirties station.
Good luck and keep us posted...73 de Bill K4JYS

howdy y'all
I'm awaiting the arrival of my HRO Senior. I want to build up a 1930's era CW transmitter. This could be a cool thread.
How many of you have built one and what did you use? What tubes would you suggest? I would like to have 50 watts minimum output, but higher power is great.
Yes, eventually I will modulate it.
Suggestions?
Ronnie W5SUM
