[Boatanchors] VOM Batteries that don't leak?

Pull all the batteries and don't use the analog meters for resistance.
 Have one modern DMM (you can get new Flukes on eBay) you always use
for resistance.
I have an old el-cheapo analog VOM I use with the battery in it (one
of the old 5 buck shirt pocket meters) but the Ohm meter function I
only use for continuity checks.  The DMM is for measurement.
