I had a little time to play with the DX-100 in question and so where I had been only tuning up only on the 75 meter band I decided to try another band. I tuned on 40 meters and there was no delay problem there. When I switched back to the 75 meter band I found that at least at this point that the delay problem has dissappeared. Don't you just love it when they fix them selfs and you don't know any more than when the problem started. I still have other problems . When I tried to tune on 160 I get very erratic or no grid drive. I don't get a lot of time to work on the set but I will try one band at a time and will get back with any progress or regress.

I have been out this morning and just got back. Thanks for all the replys. I 
now have some checking to do. I had previously replaced all of the tubes 
with ones that all checked good on my Heathkit TC-3 tube checker but I will 
do it again with known good tubes ( I have another good running DX-100 and 
will pull those and use them in this set). I will also check back the grid 
voltages for delays starting with the 6146's and try all of the suggestions. 
As I don't have a lot of time to work on it it may take awhile. Thanks again 
and I will post the fix when and IF I find it. Actually it doesn't seem that 
it should be too hard to find. Where have I heard that before?
