The "prop" departments have so much at their disposal, there is no way 
to determine what they hauled in.

It looks as though they didn't stay within a given time period. Large 
rack-mounted items are still using one to two inch tape reels.  In spite 
of the "digitizing" abilities, mag tape is still in use.
