[Boatanchors] Fungecide for WW2 radios

Boatanchor friends,

Does anyone have experience in removing of the Fungicide which was used to 
treat many of the  WW2 military radios ?? Is there anything which I can 
BRUSH ON AND WIPE OFF  in the areas which I want to clean.---I am sure it 
will be pretty harsh stuff and should only be used on unpainted metal 
surfaces,and not on any of the components or on plastic.---And,btw,----what 
was that ''greenish,yellowish'' stuff ???
