[Boatanchors] [Milsurplus] "Rust Converting" Paint- Good? Bad?

I haven't done anything like this in decades.

However, think in terms of locating something very much like the Old
Silver Rustoleum paint in a can. It had some fish oil base to it.

Way back in the '50s we had a wrought iron railing on the front porch of
the house. That was used on it, and it stopped the corrosion. As
demonstrable proof, I have been back to the old place in the very late
'90s. That same railing is STILL there - AND solid as a rock!

There must be something that is very similar to it on the market.
Exactly what, I'm not sure. I'd bet an old Ace Hardware or True Value
Hardware place would have an old timer that would know, and could tell
you what to use.

My $0.02 worth.
