Hi Pete,
We can generate a new table for an LM or 221 with a spread sheet now.
The units that don't have the book that goes with them still have value
because of that. Both of my LMs have the books with matching serial
numbers but I used the same approach to generate a tuning chart for my
RAK-7. After all these years those two LM's and their charts are right
on the money when compared with other, more modern gear and against WWV.
I have a small card that is attached to the RAK and The tables that came
from the spread sheet coincide exactly with the dial numbers that were
used for the old shore stations. Today they align with the AM broadcast
stations at the bottom of the broadcast band. The RAK chart is new and I
will be checking it out further but so far the same method as used for
the LM tables is spot on for the RAK, too.
I have copies of DOS programs for regenerating a new table for the LM or
BC-221 that I can attach to email if you need. I looked for the web page
for downloading but it's all crapped up with other junk they want you to
buy first. Sell you a downloading utility cuz yer too dumb to download a
small file without crutches and wheelchairs.
