You could use on the aluminum trim fine steel wool or emery paper or you
can use some polishing compound and a soft cloth. It's not uncommon for a
HRO-500's to have issues (PLL not locking, capacitor degradation,
distortion, etc.). What Series do you have? Should be stamped on the rear
of the chassis.
