Hello Jeff. Well, I went thru three of my old Lafayette catalogs. 1961, a 1967 and a 1975. Each of these uses a different numbering system for their microphones they offer. Four or five pages full of their products and others as well. The 1967 catalog described several between 99-4510 and 99-4543. All of them are crystal element microphones of one type or another. The two closest to the number you mention were 4512 and 4520 and they both are described as “bullet” style and are crystal element units and both show freq response between 50 and 10,000 cycles with output of –52 db and designed for low gain amplifiers. I hope this helps you. All of them between 4510 and 4543 are crystal element units. Suspect yours is too. Van, K7VS
