Go back and re-read your email....I did NOT write what you quoted.
I use client based Outlook and never had any trouble...probably because this
computer is set up properly, up to date and has the best AV.
I don't have a router and I get zero web based stuff

I have heard of a couple of Mac viruses, but have no experience with them,
and after
30 years of comupting have only had one or two experiences with any of that
on Micro$oft OS too. To avoid the vulnerabilities of Outlook, I have always
used Pegasus for e-mail (free) which has prevented 100% of e-mail based
infections. 
I use a router-switch for accessing the internet, which cuts out 99% of the
web based stuff.
AVG takes car of the rest and it's free.

Why Microsoft is still so impotent and incompetent that they can't prevent
this sort of thing after this many years is quite astounding.
