I agree that the first thing that should be done in a restoration job is 
to pull all the BB's and wax-paper caps and pitch them in the round file 
(actually in my case it's square, but I digress ...).  A complete set of 
630 volt poly film caps for most radios costs less than $20.  I sure 
wish Mallory FP twist-prong electrolytics were still available.  The 
only people I know of who are still making twist-lock caps in the US is 
CE Distribution.  I've bought guitar and amp repair parts from them for 
some time, but I wasn't aware that they were the company some of the 
third-party guys are using for their twist-lock cap supplier until the 
past year or so.  They only sell wholesale and you have to be in the 
service business to buy from them.  I believe Tom at Hayseed Hamfest 
sells their products.  If you need re-cap kits for most any radio, Tom 
already has them made up.  If you can tell him what your particular rig 
needs, he can build up a stock re-cap kit for you.
