I picked up a complete TCS setup several years ago with all of the cables, mic, dynamotor supply, remote control box, antenna loading coil, key, etc. I set it up and have used it and the only thing I haven't done yet is to assemble an AC supply for which the previous owner had included all of the parts. The dynamotor is interesting but I think I will use the set more once it can be powered from a mains supply.
I don't recall what I paid for this one but as I recall it was pretty inexpensive. The TCS setup doesn't have the looks that appeal to a wide range of people so I think that holds the price down. And the individual transmitter and receiver are commonly available so unless it comes with all of the cables and accessories that would keep the price fairly low.
It is interesting to use but I wouldn't consider it to be a setup one would typically use on a daily basis.
