[Boatanchors] OK Smart People: Capacitive Voltage Divider?

Ive been running full bench buckers for decades for both the ham station and
repairs. My sources have been hamfests and electronic surplus shops where
oddball voltages in the 9-14V range cost very little.
At 120V a 20A secondary will handle 2400W if its CCS rated and I run them
about 75% maximum and usually less.

Besides keeping boatanchor gear happy its amazing how much cooler modern
gear runs as the regulators arent throwing off so much heat. Since running
the TS-940's in the 110-113V range I havent had an AVR board failure and
thats close to 20 years.

The 30's console radios in the upstairs rooms run off their own small
transformer under the chassis or in a small box that feeds an outlet strip.
