[Boatanchors] Ridiculous Bid on the Bay

I bought the very nice Heath HS-24 speaker from the
same seller at $21.50 plus shipping. I had a snipe
bid in for about $5 more than that as my maximum
valuation. Those speakers sound quite good to me.
Regarding use of the Heath supply for Collins, I
can't imagine that a "true" Collins fan would deign
to use that supply with a K-2 or S-line, but maybe!
I wonder if the winner is going to pay up for the
HP-23 power supply!!

A whole bunch of dunces just bid a Heath HP-23B
power supply and power cable up to sell at $255!
Unbelievable!
And to think we make fun of the audiophools!
Yeah, but if you buy into that mindset, then anyone who sells there must be greedy by association. (o:
Actually, there is likely a simple explanation. IIRC, this is the supply that can be used in lieu of the 516F-2 to power the Collins KWM-2 or S-Line. Those supplies are harder to come by and bring considerably more money. So, $255 could be a bargain if your M-2 needs the juice and you can't find or don't want to pay much more for the matching supply.
Remember too, it's eBay. Convenient online shopping for items many of us can find at hamfests for a fraction of the cost tends to come at a premium. But if the nearest hamfest is a day or two's drive or you need it yesterday.....
