I have several Conelrad receivers because I think they're cool, and 
because they make great AM BC radios.   I don't have this 
Motorola-by-Multi-Elmac, but I became familiar with it after seein one 
last fall in the Route 66 Museum in Pontiac Illinois, where a non-ham 
former broadcast station owner has put together a  near-perfect 
recreation of a 60s vintage AM radio station.

find a few other pics of the studio as well, including the beautifully 
restored Gates "Gatesway" console, turntables, cart machines, and the 
mint condition AP-branded model 19 teletype machine (which would have 
made quite a racket if it'd been inside an actual studio).    I've been 
in touch with the donor who intends to make the studio operation for 
remote broadcasts on occasion and has aspirations of becoming a ham.
