Many here will be familiar with _Radio Antenna
Engineering_ by Edmund A. Laport. Edmund Laport was chief
engineer of RCA communications international division. His
book is one of the few that covers VLF-LF and broadcast
arrays as well as large HF directional antennas. It also
has a lot of very well written basic stuff in it, mostly
still valid. The books is available on-line from at least
one source but I like hard copies and found I could get a
very well printed one from Lulu Books for $15 plus a modest
shipping charge. I think that is cheaper than one could have
the PDF printed at Kinko's or someplace. The book is very
interesting to read and much of it does not require a lot of
math.
