I don't think so. I'm working DX regularly on 20M and 15M AM in 
amongst the SSB station with no complaints. Fortunately most hams are 
very tolerant and polite. Even a single frequency such as 28.305MHz 
would be an advantage for those of us that have narrow band antennas.
