[Boatanchors] ballast tube maybe?

I checked further. Nothing in the referenced material comes near matching
the units I have here. All three are the same, the only connection is about
36 ohms cold between pins 3 & 7. Two are Triad and stamped into the metal
10A. The TRIAD is also stamped into the metal. The third has only the 10A.
The TRIADs have a band of knurling stamped around the cylinder near the top.
I too am certain they must be ballast tubes of some sort.

Gerry,
Almost certainly a ballast. I'm confused about part numbers. Go here
and see if it has the same resistances as a Clarostat 10-23-A.
