[Boatanchors] Navy Gray

Navy electronics changed gray shades around 1950.
The original OS-8/U

is much darker than the later OS-8C/U

I like Rust-Oleum Light Machine Gray for the lighter 50's-60's Navy radio gear
In this photo,

 the bottom TTY unit was painted with Light Machine Gray - the other
TTY units are original Navy colors.

Rust-Oleum Smoke Gray works well for the late 40's darker gray color.

I painted the racks with Smoke Gray and the equipment is original
(some of it yet-to-be-cleaned nicotine brown)

Neither is a perfect match and a lot depends on the lighting, but
these seem to be pretty close.
