[Boatanchors] Eldico Transmitter history

I guess I should be glad that I bought a Globe
Scout 65 for my first commercial transmitter
back in the day. I THOUGHT that I wanted a
Lettine 240.

Now, after all these years, I frequently find
that sometimes it is GOOD to not get what you
want!

The TR-75TV was popular with several new hams in the LI, NY area before
Heathkit hit the market with the DX-20 and DX-35. I knew a couple of
teenagers who had them. I never saw any other models until the S Line clones
came out. My home town also spawned the Lettine 240 and other models. Having
worked there after school a short time I referred to it as the Latrine
240....What a pit!
