[Boatanchors] W2EWL VFO range?

This thread got me traveling down memory lane.
I had a CE-20A+BC-457VFO in the early 70's.
Curiosity got me and I went to the BAMA site to refresh the ole gray cells
on the frequency multiplier scheme in the VFO.
The station band change procedure was as follows:
Set the 75A3 to correct band/Frequency.
Select the bans switch on the VFO
Crank the VFO tuning dial to the approximate frequency
Set the band switches on the 20A
Turn off the HV to the amp. (PP 811A's)
Change the grid coil.
Change the Plate coil.
Switch in the dummy load.
Tune the CE 20A
Tune the amplifier.
Select an antenna
Tune the open wire tuner.
WHEW!!!!!!
Hope the DX station is still there.....
