[Boatanchors] W2EWL VFO range?

SSB signal generated at 9 MC/s and BC-457's VFO covered 4.0 - 5.3.

Single conversion could theortically cover 3.7-5.0 with a subtraction
mixing scheme and 13.0 - 14.3 by using an addition mixing simply
by tuning the final (IIRC).

Practically, 5.0 - 5.3 gave 80m coverage of 4.0 - 3.7. Note the
reversal of tuning direction.

On 20m, 5.0 - 5.3 gave coverage of 14.0 - 14.3.

I suspect that the problem of 3rd harmonics is a result of the
builder using too much L in the output tank and not enough C
resulting in Q that is too low.
