I have the Kenwood Twins R-599/T-599 (not D). They seem to hold their
own. I just replaced the T/R relays after how many dozen times they
clicked in and out. It's a funny deal..the R-599 has a RIT control but
by moving just one switch the transmitter and receiver use their own
VFOs. RIT doesn't mean very much with that available.
